Dosage
The recommended dose for ammonium chloride is 20 mg/kg of body weight twice daily. This is approximately equivalent to 1/8 teaspoon (of UriKare 400) per 20 lb (9.08 kg) of body weight.
For animals smaller than 20 lbs, UriKare 200 Tablets or Powder is recommended. Administer twice daily with food. The daily dosage may vary with different diets depending on the alkalinity effects of the diet. The dosage should be adjusted to maintain the urine pH consistently between pH 6.0-6.6.

UriKare 400 Powder Indications
For use as a urinary acidifier in cats and dogs.
Warning
May cause gastric mucosal irritation. Do not administer to animals with severe liver or kidney damage or to animals exhibiting acidosis. Do not administer to animals on a special pet food diet designed to acidify the animals' urine.
Store Tightly Closed Container In A Dry Place At Temperatures Not Exceeding 35°c (95°f).
