Clostridium Chauvoei-septicum-novyi-sordellii-perfringens Types C & D-haemophilus Somnus Bacterin-toxoid

For veterinary use only

For use in healthy cattle and calves 3 months of age or older as an aid in preventing blackleg caused by Clostridium chauvoei, malignant edema caused by Cl. septicum, black disease caused by Cl. novyi, gas-gangrene caused by Cl. sordellii, enterotoxemia and enteritis caused by Cl. perfringens types B, C, and D, and disease caused by Haemophilus somnus. Although Cl. perfringens type B is not a significant problem in North America, immunity is provided by the beta toxoid of type C and the epsilon toxoid of type D.

UltraBac 7/Somubac consists of killed, standardized cultures of Clostridium chauvoei, Cl. septicum, Cl. novyi, Cl. sordellii, Cl. perfringens types C and D, and Haemophilus somnus, with an adjuvant.

Directions

Shake well. Aseptically inject 5 mL subcutaneously, followed by a second dose 4-6 weeks later. In accordance with Beef Quality Assurance guidelines, this product should be administered subcutaneously (SC) under the skin. Annual revaccination with a single dose is recommended.

Precautions

Store at 2°-7°C. Do not freeze. Use entire contents when first opened. Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter. If anaphylaxis occurs following use, administer epinephrine or equivalent.
