Toxivac Plus Parasuis Indications

For use as an aid in the prevention of disease in swine due to infection caused by Bordetella bronchiseptica, Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, Haemophilus parasuis and toxigenic strains of Pasteurella multocida types A and D.

Composition

This bacterin-toxoid is adjuvanted and contains cell free and nontoxic antigens of Pasteurella multocida as well as inactivated cultures of Bordetella bronchiseptica, Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, and Haemophilus parasuis. Gentamicin is added as a preservative.

Directions

Shake well before and during use.

Sows Or Gilts - Vaccinate Intramuscularly With Two Doses (2 Ml Each) At 5 Weeks And 2 Weeks Prior To Initial Farrowing. Vaccinate With 1 Dose (2 Ml) At 3 Weeks Prior To Subsequent Farrowings. Vaccinate All New Replacement Breeding Stock With 2 Doses (2 Ml Each) Spaced A Minimum Of 2 To 3 Weeks Apart Prior To Entry Into Breeding Herd. Revaccinate Boars Annually.

pigs - Vaccinate Intramuscularly With 1 Dose (2 Ml) At 3 To 4 Weeks Of Age. For haemophilus Parasuis Protection An Additional Dose Should Be Given 2 To 4 Weeks Later.

Store at 35-45°F (2- 7°C). Do not freeze. Use entire contents when first opened. In case of anaphylactoid reactions epinephrine is symptomatic treatment. Do not vaccinate within 21 days of slaughter.
