Tetracycline is absorbed quickly and is effective in the treatment of many diseases caused by Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacterias, spirochetes, rickettsias, and certain chlamydias.Active Ingredient
Each gram contains 62.5 mg (250 mg/teaspoonful) Tetracycline Hydrochloride USP in a water soluble base. One teaspoonful equals 4 grams.Tetracycline 62.5 SP Indications
To help with the treatment of the infections caused by or associated with micro-organisms sensitive to Tetracycline Hydrochloride in chickens, turkeys, pigs, calves, sheep, and lambs.Dosages And Administrations
Chickens And Turkeys
Treatment For Bacterial Enteritis, C.r.d. And Infectious Synovitis In Chickens And Bacterial Enteritis, Transmissible Enteritis (bluecomb Disease), Infectious Sinusitis And Infectious Synovitis In Turkeys
Use 4 g (1 teaspoonful) per 2.5 L of drinking water (400 g per 250 L) for 5 to 7 days or 48 hours after symptoms disappear.Treatment For Stress Conditions
Use 4 g (1 teaspoonful) per 5 L of drinking water (400 g per 500 L) for 5 to 7 days.Swine
Treatment For Bacterial Enteritis (scours)
Use 4 g (1 teaspoonful) per 25 kg body weight every 12 hours or 2.5 L of drinking water (400 g per 250 L) for 4 to 5 days given as a drench.Treatment For Bacterial Respiratory Infections (such As Pneumonia And Bronchitis)
Use 4 g (1 teaspoonful) per 25 kg of body weight every 12 hours or 8 g (2 teaspoonfuls) per 4 L of drinking water for 4 to 5 days given as a drench.Calves

5 mg Tetracycline Hydrochloride per kg of body weight (equivalent to 4 g Tetracycline 62.5 SP per 50 kg body weight) twice a day or 4 g (1 teaspoonful) per 2.5 L of drinking water for 4 to 5 days given as a drench.Treatment For Respiratory Infections
10 mg Tetracycline Hydrochloride per kg of body weight (equivalent to 8 g Tetracycline 62.5 SP per 50 kg body weight) twice a day or 8 g (2 teaspoonfuls) per 2.5 L of drinking water for 4 to 5 days given as a drench.Sheep And Lambs
Treatment For Respiratory Infections
10 mg Tetracycline Hydrochloride per kg of body weight (equivalent to 4 g Tetracycline 62.5 SP per 25 kg body weight) once or twice a day or 4 g (1 teaspoonful) per 2.5 L of drinking water for 4 to 5 days given as a drench.Tetracycline 62.5 SP Caution
