In a base of white petrolatum, light mineral oil and polyoxyethylene sorbian monostearate.

Tetracycline 1% Indications

TETRACYCLINE 1% offers a broad spectrum antibiotic effect against a variety of organisms including chlamydia, mycoplasma and rickettsia. Tetracycline is the antibiotic of choice in therapy of infectious conjunctivitis in cats followed by chloramphenicol, erythromycin and sulphonamides, respectively.

Tetracycline 1% Dosage And Administration

Apply a thin layer over the cornea three (3) to four (4) times a day. Properly cleanse the eye, removing exudate and debris, before treating. To apply, insert the tip of the tube beneath the lower lid and express a small amount of the ointment into the conjunctival sac. Care should be taken not to contaminate the tip during administration.

Tetracycline 1% Caution(s)

If improvement is not noted within two to three days, a change of therapy should be considered.

Side Effects

Itching, burning or inflammation may occur in animals that are hypersensitive to the product. Discontinue use in such cases.
