SwiVax™-MH is prepared from inactivated cultures of M. hyopneumoniae, combined with an adjuvant. This bacterin is specifically formulated to be delivered transdermally using the Derma-Vac™ NF Transdermal Vaccination System.

SWIVAX-MH Indications

Using the Derma-Vac™ NF Transdermal Vaccination System according to directions, for the needle-free vaccination of healthy swine, 3 weeks of age or older, to aid in the reduction/control of respiratory disease due to Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae. Efficacy was demonstrated at 4 weeks and at 23 weeks after 3 week old piglets were vaccinated with a single dose of the product.

SWIVAX-MH Dosage And Administration

Shake well. For best results, vaccination of all swine in a herd is recommended. Aseptically deliver a single needle-free 0.5 ml dose transdermally (TD) perpendicular to the muscles of the anterior half of the neck in healthy swine using the Derma-Vac™ NF Transdermal Vaccination System according to product indications.

Precaution/withdrawals/stability

Store at 2-8°C (35-46°F). Do not freeze. Use entire contents when first opened. Do not vaccinate within 21 days prior to slaughter. In case of accidental human exposure, consult a physician.

Warning

Transient swelling (typically 1-5 cm) occurs at site of injection in approximately 75% of animals vaccinated transdermally. Persistent swelling may occur in some animals.
