Warnings
Milk taken from treated animals during treatment and within 96 hours after the latest treatment with this drug must not be used as food. Treated animals must not be slaughtered for use in food for at least 10 days after the latest treatment with this drug. This product must not be added to swine feeds. Swine
As an aid in the treatment of enteritis and respiratory diseases caused by bacteria sensitive to sulfamethazine and sulfathiazole.Cattle
As an aid in the treatment of infections caused by bacteria sensitive to sulfathiazole and sulfamethazine such as pneumonia, metritis, enteritis, foot rot and mastitis.Sulfa-MT Dosage And Administration
Swine And Beef Cattle (steers, Yearlings And Finishing Calves)
Dosage calculations are based on a water consumption of 8-10% of body weight for swine and of 23-38 L/head per day for beef cattle.Herd Medication
Dissolve 400 g (1 pouch) of Sulfa-MT in 8 L of drinking water. Add this to each 260 L of water the first day and to each 355 L of water for the next 3 days.For use in automatic proportioner: Set the apparatus to deliver 30 mL stock solution per 3.78 L of drinking water (1 oz/gallon U.S.). Prepare stock solution by dissolving 400 g (1 pouch) of Sulfa-MT in 2 L of water for the first day and 400 g (1 pouch) of Sulfa-MT in 2.8 L of water for the next 3 days.
Cattle: For Individual Treatment
Dissolve 400 g (1 pouch) of Sulfa-MT in 2 L of water and administer 1 mL of this solution per kg of body weight as a drench. Reduce the dose to 0.5 mL per kg of body weight for the next 3 days.Sulfa-MT Cautions
If no improvement is seen within 48 hours, medication should be discontinued and diagnosis reconfirmed. Generally, treatment should not exceed 4 days.
Do not administer to animals with known or suspected sensitivity to sulfonamides or with renal impairment. Do not treat dehydrated animals. Treated animals should have easy access to drinking water to maintain adequate hydration.
Note: The Measuring Cup Contained Herein (10 Kg), When Filled With 3 Level Quantities Provides Approximately 400 G Of Product.
Storage Conditions
Store between 15°C and 25°C. Protect from moisture.
