Streptococcus Equi Bacterial Extract

An adjuvanted, concentrated, enzyme extract of Streptococcus equi.*⁺ Recommended for use in healthy horses as an aid in the prevention of strangles disease due to Streptococcus equi infection.

Dose

Inject 1 mL intramuscularly using aseptic techniques. Repeat in 3-4 weeks. A 1 mL dose should be administered annually or prior to expected exposure.

Strepguard with Havlogen Caution

Store at 35° to 45°F (2° to 7°C). Shake well before using. Use entire contents when first opened (10 doses). Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter. Certain hypersensitive individuals may demonstrate local or generalized reactions, sometimes severe, following exposure to streptococcal proteins. To minimize reactions, free exercise is recommended after injection. Anaphylactoid reactions may occur.

Strepguard with Havlogen Caution: Needle Is Sharp And May Cause Injury To Self Or Animals If Not Handled Properly Or Disposed Of Properly.

Antidote

Epinephrine.

Contains thimerosal as preservative.
