Warning

Treated birds must not be slaughtered for use as food for at least 5 days after the latest treatment with this drug. This product must not be used in laying birds. Rarely, some individuals who handle spectinomycin develop serious reactions involving skin, nails and eyes. Individuals who have experienced rash or other evidence of allergic reaction should avoid further contact with spectinomycin.

Spectam Water Soluble Concentrate Indications And Dosage

As an aid in the prevention or control of losses due to chronic respiratory disease (CRD) associated with Mycoplasma gallisepticum (PPLO) infection.

Add 200 g (1 pouch) to 200 L of drinking water, for the first 3 days of life and for one day following each vaccination.

As an aid in preventing infectious synovitis due to Mycoplasma synoviae in broiler chickens.

Add 200 g (1 pouch) to 200 L of drinking water, for the first 3 to 5 days of life.

For Automatic Proportioners

Set the apparatus to distribute 30 mL per 4 L of drinking water (1 oz/gallon U.S.). Prepare the stock solution by dissolving 200 g (1 pouch) in 1.5 L of water. This will medicate approximately 200 L of drinking water.

Storage Conditions

Store between 15°C and 25°C. Protect from moisture.
