Warning
Treated animals must not be slaughtered for use in food for at least:
CALVES - 30 days
SWINE & SHEEP - 14 days
after the latest treatment with this drug.
This drug must not be administered to lactating dairy cattle and to horses that are to be slaughtered for use in food.
Description
SCOUR SOLUTION contains two active drugs: Neomycin Sulfate which kills scour-causing bacteria and Methscopolamine Bromide which reduces fluid losses, speeding recovery.
Scour Solution Indications
As an aid in the prevention and treatment of scours (bacterial enteritis) in pigs, calves, sheep, horses and dogs.
Baby Pig Treatment
For baby pigs, treat the whole litter to prevent spread of infection.
Administration And Dosage
Give for 1 to 3 days, as soon as scouring is observed. Should be given as per the following dosage levels and should be administered for no longer than 3 days.
Individual Treatment
May be given in water, milk or feed or undiluted at the following dosages per day:

Over 145 kg use multiples of the above dosages.
Herd Treatment
Add to the drinking water consumed daily by the affected animals, 100 mL per 450 kg of body weight.
Medicated water should be the only source of drinking water during treatment.
If no improvement is seen after 3 days, the diagnosis should be re-determined.
Scour Solution Caution
Not to be given to horses with glaucoma. Use with caution in animals with urinary tract obstruction, pyloric obstruction or atony of the stomach.
Note
Each full depression of the plunger delivers 1 mL of solution.
Storage Conditions
Store between 15 and 25 °C. Keep from direct sunlight.
