Application Instructions
FOR DARKLING AND LESSER MEALWORM BEETLE, HIDE BEETLE AND FLY CONTROL IN POULTRY HOUSES. (Adults and Larvae)
For poultry houses in which birds are grown on litter:
Dry Application
Prior to application of SafeCide Brand IC, remove birds. Apply dust uniformly to floor of poultry house or to old litter with a fertilizer or seed spreader, at the rate of 1-2 pounds for each 100 square feet, in bands along feeder lines. Then introduce birds. Reapply after each grow-out, if needed, in the sequence outlined above.
For Poultry houses in which birds are grown in cages. (layer or high rise ‘pit type’ houses):
Dry Application
Prior to application of SafeCide Brand IC, remove birds. Apply at the rate of 1-2 pounds for each 100 square feet of treated surface. Using appropriate equipment, thoroughly dust side walls, top plates, posts, and framing. Dust into cracks and crevices around insulation. Then, introduce birds. Reapply after each grow-out, if needed, in the sequence outlined above. However, if facility is washed down and sanitized using standard cleaning and disinfecting procedures, SafeCide Brand IC must be reapplied to continue beetle control. SafeCide Brand IC can be applied directly to manure for fly control.
Wet Application
Prior to the application of SafeCide Brand IC to top levels of layer house, remove birds. Mix dust at the rate of 1-2 pounds per three gallons of water. Apply at the rate of three gallons of mix for each 100 square feet of treated surface. Using appropriate pressure spray equipment, saturate side walls, top plates, posts, and framing. Spray mix into cracks and crevices around insulation. Do not expose birds to spray. Reapply after each grow-out, if needed, in the sequence outlined above. However, if facility is washed down and sanitized using standard cleaning and disinfecting procedures, SafeCide Brand IC must be reapplied to continue beetle control. SafeCide Brand IC can be applied directly to manure for fly control. SafeCide Brand IC can be applied directly to manure for fly control.
FOR THE CONTROL OF FIRE ANTS**
Methods Of Application
Apply SafeCide Brand IC when ants are actively foraging. This is usually when soil temperatures are above 60° F. Avoid application when the soil is wet. Heavy rainfall within 2 to 3 hours of application may reduce effectiveness. In cases where reinfestation occurs or when very large mounds remain active, retreatment may be desirable after 2 to 3 weeks. Do not apply to pasture, rangeland or other areas which may be grazed by cattle, sheep or other domestic animal.
Mound Application
Apply 1 to 2 cups of SafeCide Brand IC per mound uniformly distributing material 3 to 4 feet around the base of the mound. Do not contaminate kitchen utensils by use or storage of product.

SafeCide IC Caution
Harmful if swallowed or absorbed through skin. Causes eye irritation. Avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling.
Applicators and other handlers of this product must wear a dust mask or a dust/mist filtering respirator, and protective gloves for all application methods described on this label.
First Aid
If Swallowed
Call a poison control center or doctor immediately for treatment advice. Have a person sip a glass of water if able to swallow. Do not induce vomiting unless told to do so by the poison control center or doctor. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.If In Eyes
Hold eye open and rinse slowly and gently with water for 15-20 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present, after the first 5 minutes, then continue rinsing eye. Call a poison control center or doctor for treatment advice.If On Skin Or Clothing
Take off contaminated clothing. Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water for 15-20 minutes. Call a poison control center or doctor for treatment advice.If Inhaled
Move person to fresh air. If person is not breathing, call 911 or an ambulance, then give artificial respiration, preferably by mouth-to-mouth, if possible. Call a poison control center or doctor for treatment advice.Hot Line Number

Environmental Hazards
For terrestrial uses, do not apply directly to water, or to areas where surface water is present, or to intertidal areas below the mean high water mark. Do not contaminate water when disposing of equipment washwaters or rinsate.

Do not contaminate water, food, or feed by storage or disposal.

Store in a dry place. Do not store where children or animals may gain access.Pesticide Disposal
Wastes resulting from the use of this product may be disposed of onsite or at an approved waste disposal facility.Container Disposal
Completely empty bag into application equipment. Then dispose of empty bag in a sanitary landfill or by incineration, or, if allowed by State and local authorities, by burning. If burned, stay out of smoke.**not For Use In California
