Warning
Milk taken from treated animals during treatment and within 96 hours after the latest treatment with this drug must not be used as food. Treated animals must not be slaughtered for use as food for at least 10 days after the latest treatment with this drug.
S-M-T Indications
Swine
As an aid in the treatment of enteritis and respiratory diseases caused by bacteria sensitive to sulfamethazine and sulfathiazole.
Cattle
As an aid in the treatment of infections caused by bacteria sensitive to sulfathiazole and sulfamethazine such as pneumonia, metritis, enteritis, foot rot and mastitis.
Dosage
Herd Medication
Dissolve 567 g (1 jar or 4 level measuring cups) in enough of water to medicate 2,680 kg of bodyweight over a period of 24 hours for the first day, and to medicate 5,360 kg of bodyweight for the subsequent days.
Individual Treatment For Cattle
Administer as a drench. First day: 60 mL of 12.5% solution or 30 mL of a 25% solution per 35 kg of bodyweight. Reduce dosage by one half on the second, third and fourth day.
How To Prepare Solution
For a 12.5% solution, dissolve 567 g of powder (1 jar) in water to make a total volume of 4.5 L of solution.
For a 25% solution, dissolve 567 g of powder (1 jar) in water to make a total volume of 2.27 L of solution.
Use warm water and stir thoroughly.
Note
4 level quantities of the measuring cup contained herein (22.7 Kg) provide approximately 567 g of product.

S-M-T Caution
If no improvement is seen within 48 hours, medication should be discontinued and diagnosis reconfirmed. Generally, treatment should not exceed 4 days.
