This vaccine contains reovirus SS412 type which is inactivated and suspended in an oil emulsion.

Reomune SS412 Indications

The vaccine is indicated for use in healthy breeder replacement chickens and breeder hens against malabsorption caused by avian reovirus of the SS412 type. Breeder vaccination provides maternal antibody to progeny of breeder hens for the prevention of malabsorption caused by early exposure to reovirus SS412 type.

A prime of tenosynovitis vaccine is recommended at least four weeks in advance of administration of the killed vaccine.

Reomune SS412 Dosage And Administration

Vaccinate chickens at least 18 weeks of age with 0.5 mL (1/2 cc) per bird. The vaccine is to be administered by the subcutaneous route in the back of the neck, midway between the head and the body, in a direction away from the head. Do not inject into muscle or vertebrae.

Precaution(s)

Do not freeze. Store in the dark at 35°-45°F (2°-7°C). Warm to room temperature and shake before using and during use. Use entire contents when first opened.

Notice: This vaccine has undergone rigid potency, safety and purity tests, and meets Biomune and USDA requirements. However, the user is advised that response to vaccination depends on numerous factors, including, but not limited to, storage, handling, aseptic administration technique, and the health and responsiveness of individual chickens.

This vaccine should be stored, transported and administered in accordance with the instructions and directions.

Warning(s)

Do not vaccinate with oil emulsion vaccine within 42 days before slaughter. Due to the stress of handling or moving birds, vaccination of hens in lay may result in a drop in egg production.

This product contains an oil based adjuvant; accidental injection of this vaccine into a human may cause a serious localized reaction. Seek expert medical attention immediately.
