Rapid-Zyme is enzyme-formulated to remove and dissolve fat-based solids (lipids) on surgical instruments and other medical appliances.
Presoak And Manual Cleaning
1. Add 1 fl. oz. (30 mL) Rapid-Zyme per gallon (3.78 L) warm water (not to exceed 140°F/60°C). For heavy organic load, 2 fl. oz. (60 mL) may be required.
2. Presoak instruments until soil is dissolved (usually 2 to 5 minutes).
3. After soaking, rinse thoroughly with water.
Ultrasonic Cleaning
Add 1 fl. oz. (30 mL) Rapid-Zyme per gallon (3.78 L) water. Rapid-Zyme can be manually dispensed with a hand pump or automatically mixed when cleaning chamber fills. Manual cleaning of extremely heavy soils may be required.
Note
Solution should be changed when visibly dirty or at the end of the shift.Rapid-Zyme is not a medical instrument sterilant or high level disinfectant.

Do not ingest. Do not breathe gas/fumes/vapor/spray. Avoid contact with skin and clothing. Wear suitable protective clothing. Keep container closed. Use only with adequate ventilation. Wash thoroughly after handling.
First Aid
Eye Contact
In case of contact, immediately flush eyes with cool running water. Remove contact lenses and continue flushing with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention if irritation persists.Skin Contact
Wash with soap and water. Get medical attention if irritation occurs. Wash clothing before reuse.Inhalation
If inhaled, remove to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen.Obtain medical attention.
Ingestion
