Do not administer this product with milk or milk replacers. Administer 1 hour before or 2 hours after feeding milk or milk replacers. Do not administer to calves within 4 days of slaughter. Do not administer to swine within 7 days of slaughter. Use as sole source of tetracyclines. A withdrawal period has not been established for this product in pre-ruminating calves. Do not use in calves to be processed for veal.
Prepare fresh solutions daily. Administer at this rate in the total water consumed over a full 24-hour period.
As a generalization, these animals will consume approximately 1 gallon per 100 lbs body weight per day. At this rate, solutions containing 1 gram of tetracycline hydrochloride per gallon (1 packet per 10 gallons), as the only source of water, will provide the proper dose. However, variations in age and environmental temperature affect water consumption, and the concentration of the solution should be adjusted appropriately to compensate for the variation observed in individual situations. Alternatively, the Soluble Powder may be administered to calves as a drench to provide 10 mg tetracycline hydrochloride per pound body weight daily in divided doses.
General Note On Dosage
If no improvement is noted in 3-5 days, consult a veterinarian.
