Cleansing Solution

Active Ingredient(s)

0.1% Chlorhexidine formulated with special surfactant, peppermint flavor base, FD & C Red 40 and Red 33, and 6% Ethyl Alcohol by volume.

OralDent Indications

To assist in the daily maintenance of a healthy and pleasant smelling mouth in dogs and cats through the removal of food particles and other debris from the teeth and gum line.

Directions

Instructions: Apply ORALDENT either as an oral rinse or with a toothbrush.

Oral Rinse: Holding the animal's head steady with one hand, spray inside the corner of the mouth, gently inserting the sprayer a short distance from the cheek. Spray a small amount of ORALDENT between the teeth and the side of the mouth. Massage the mouth over the teeth to work ORALDENT over the surface of the teeth. Repeat on the opposite side of the mouth so that the gum surfaces are thoroughly wet on both sides of the mouth.

Tooth Brushing: Place a small amount of ORALDENT in a clean dish or cup. Holding the animal's head steady with one hand, dip the toothbrush into the solution and carefully brush the teeth with a gentle motion. Rewet the brush with ORALDENT as needed.

Precaution(s)

Store at room temperature. Avoid exposure to temperatures over 120°F.

OralDent Caution(s)

Special Note: The use of ORALDENT should not be considered a substitute for sound veterinary dental treatment. The product should be used under the direction of a veterinarian who can advise on a complete oral breath program. Published literature has reported some staining of the teeth surfaces after the prolonged use of rinses containing chlorhexidine. Build-up of stain can be prevented by applying the solution with a toothbrush.

For external use only as an oral rinse.

Not for use in eyes.
