Novormon 5000 Indications
To help stimulate follicle development in functional ovaries of cows, ewes and sows.
Pregnant mare’s serum gonadotropin (PMSG) is predominantly follicle-stimulating; its effects closely resemble those of the follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) of the anterior pituitary.
Description
NOVORMON™ 5000 is pregnant mares’ serum gonadotropin (PMSG) lyophilized to maintain it’s potency. Each 25 mL vial contains 5000 I.U. of PMSG. When reconstituted according to label directions the final solution contains 200 I.U./mL of PMSG.
NOVORMON™ 5000 diluent is a 25 mL vial of Water for injection USP.
Active Ingredient

Thimerosal 120 µgStorage
Store in the dark at 2°C to 8°C (36°F to 46°F). Once reconstituted, the solution should be used immediately or within a few hours. Do not retain the unused portion of the vial.
Novormon 5000 Dosage And Administration
Administer one (1) injection subcutaneously, intramuscularly or intravenously:

Directions for Reconstitution: Use a sterile syringe. Do not use chemical or cold sterilization for syringes. Add 25 mL of the supplied water for injection USP to the vial containing the dry powder to obtain a clear solution containing 200 I.U./mL of PMSG.
Novormon 5000 Caution
In the case of anaphylactic shock, administer epinephrine.
Warning
Treated animals must not be slaughtered for use in food for at least seven (7) days after the latest treatment with this drug.
Keep away from children.
