Suggested Use

New-Hoof is carefully formulated to promote normal hoof health when used in combination with proper nutrition and good herd management practices. New-Hoof contains ionized copper along with surfactants. Ionized copper is known to kill certain disease-causing organisms.

For maximum results New-Hoof should be used in healthy herds as well as during hoof infections.

In A Healthy Herd

Use New-Hoof concentrate in the foot bath as part of your health program. Prepare the foot bath solution using one quart of New-Hoof Concentrate per 50 gallons of water (1:200 dilution). Change the foot bath every other day or every 500 head. It is recommended that New-Hoof be used in rotation with other prevention protocol.

During Hoof Infections

Use New-Hoof Topical ready-to-use spray, or for larger operations, prepare a mixture using one part New-Hoof Concentrate and two parts of water. Clean the hoof as thoroughly as possible as exposure to New-Hoof solution is important. Spray the affected area to the saturation point to achieve maximum exposure to the New-Hoof solution. Continue to spray the area prior to every milking until the lesions dry up or drop off. To promote healing, the wound can then be treated with an antiseptic salve and wrapped for protection from the elements.

Management Information

New-Hoof/New Hoof Topical is only part of the solution for proper hoof care. Healthy hooves are dependent on proper nutrition, clean environment, good management and proper health care. Any one element alone will not prevent or control hoof problems. New-Hoof/New-Hoof Topical is only one part of the total program, where management is the key.

Disposal

New-Hoof is environmentally friendly. After use, New-Hoof may be disposed of in the manure lagoon without detrimental effects on the natural digestion process. As with any product, follow local guidelines for soil or foliar application.

Keep out of the reach of children. Can cause eye irritation. In case of eye contact, flush for 15 minutes with cool water. If irritation persists call your physician.
