Active Ingredients

Each 400 g pouch contains Tetracycline hydrochloride USP 80,000 mg and Neomycin sulfate USP 80,000 mg (eq. to 56 g of Neomycin base)

Description

Neo-tera Plus Concentrate Sp Contains Two Antibiotics

neomycin and tetracycline. The first one is known for its action against E.coli and other bacteria in the digestive system and the second one is a broad-spectrum antibiotic readily absorbed from the digestive tract for activity throughout the body. Each 400 g contains 80 g of neomycin sulfate in a water-soluble base.

Note

Each rounded teaspoonful contains approximately 900 mg of tetracycline HCI and 900 mg of neomycin sulfate. Each level teaspoonful contains approximately 800 mg of tetracycline HCI and 800 mg of neomycin sulfate. Each 400 g of Neo-Tera Plus Concentrate SP contains approximately 88 rounded teaspoonfuls and 100 level teaspoonfuls.

Indications

Chickens And Turkeys

As an aid in the treatment of infectious diseases caused by micro-organisms sensitive to tetracycline and neomycin such as C.R.D., Bluecomb, synovitis and enteritis.

Swine And Calves

As an aid in the treatment of bacterial enteritis (scours) and respiratory disease.

Dosage

Chicken And Turkeys

Add 100 g to 200 g per 225 L of drinking water for 3 to 5 days.

Swine (scours)

Add 2 g of powder to 170 ml of water, per 45 kg of body weight as a drench or mix 100 g per 225 L of drinking water for 4 or 5 days.

Newborn Piglets (scours)

Mix 4 g of powder with 60 ml of water and give 5 ml of this solution to each piglet twice daily for 4 or 5 days.

Swine And Newborn Piglets (respiratory Diseases)

Add 4 g of powder to 170 ml of water per 45 kg of body weight or mix 200 g per 225 L of drinking water and give for 4 or 5 days.

Calves (scours)

Individual treatment: Add 2 g of powder to 60 ml of water or milk substitute per 45 kg of body weight as a drench.

Herd treatment: Add 2 g of powder per 4.5 L of water or 100 g per 225 L of drinking water for 4 or 5 days.

Calves (respiratory Diseases)

Double above dosage.

Cautions

Fresh solutions should be prepared daily. Recommended dosages are based on average water intake. If symptoms persist after using this preparation as outlined, consult your veterinarian. Medicated water should be the only source of water during treatment.

Warnings

Treated animals must not be slaughtered for use in food for at least 14 days for swine, 30 days for calves, 7 days for chickens and 14 days for turkeys after the latest treatment with this drug. This product must not be used in lactating dairy cattle, laying chickens or replacement chickens over 16 weeks of age.

4 g of powder = 1 level teaspoonful

2 g of powder =1/2 level teaspoonful

1 imperial gallon = 4.5 L

1 US gallon = 3.8 L

225 L = 50 imperial gallons
