100 g contains 20 g Oxytetracycline HCl USP and 20 g Neomycin sulfate USP (14 g of neomycin base)Description
NEO OXYMED is a water soluble powder for the treatment of susceptible bacterial infections in chickens and turkeys, swine and calves. NEO OXYMED contains two antibiotics (neomycin and oxytetracycline). The first antibiotic is known for its action against E. coli and other bacteria in the digestive system and the second one is a broad-spectrum antibiotic readily absorbed from the digestive tract for activity throughout the body.Neo Oxymed Indications
Chickens And Turkeys
For use as an aid in the treatment of infectious diseases caused by micro-organisms sensitive to oxytetracycline and neomycin such as C.R.D., Bluecomb, synovitis and enteritis.Swine And Calves
As an aid in the treatment of bacterial enteritis (scours) and respiratory diseases.Neo Oxymed Dosage And Administration
Chickens And Turkeys
Add 400 to 800 g per 900 L of drinking water for 3 to 5 days.Swine (scours)
Add 2 g of powder to 170 mL of water, per 45 kg of body weight as a drench or mix 100 g per 225 L of drinking water for 4 or 5 days.Newborn Piglets (scours)
Mix 4 g of powder with 60 mL of water and give 5 mL of the solution to each piglet 2 times a day for 4 or 5 days.Swine And Newborn Piglets (respiratory Diseases)
Add 4 g of powder to 170 mL of water per 45 kg of body weight or 200 g per 225 L of drinking water and give for 4 or 5 days.Calves (scours)
Individual Treatment
2 g of powder in 60 mL of water per 45 kg of body weight, as a drench.
Herd Treatment
Add 2 g of powder per 4.5 L or 100 g per 225 L of drinking water for 4 or 5 days.Calves (respiratory Diseases)
Double the above dosage.Note
Prepare fresh solutions each day. The dosage is based on an average water intake. Care must be taken to ensure adequate water intake. One teaspoon (5 mL) equals 4 g.Warnings Treated Animals Must Not Be Slaughtered For Use In Food For At Least 7 Days For Chickens, 14 Days For Turkeys And Swine, And 30 Days For Calves After The Last Treatment With This Drug.
