Dosage and AdministrationDo not dilute the product. Use at full strength. Discard the dip solution when it becomes visibly dirty or if sediment is present. If teats are chapped or sore, consult a veterinarian before beginning or continuing to use the product.
As a pre-dip: Remove all visible dirt by washing the teats and the base of the udder, using a minimal amount of an approved udder wash solution and a clean single service towel. Dry the teats and the udder completely with a clean single service towel. Dip or spray the teats with METZ IODINE TEAT DIP (0.25%). Allow a 30 second contact time. Before attaching the milker, remove the teat dip by drying thoroughly with a clean single service paper towel.
As a post-dip: Immediately after the milker is removed, dip or spray the teats with undiluted METZ IODINE TEAT DIP. If the cow will be returned to a below freezing temperature environment, allow the teat dip to air dry before discharging her from the milking area.
