Metrizyme
This treatment applies to the following species:Dual Enzymatic Detergent
Low foaming, dual enzymatic designed for easy one-step pre-cleaning by disintegrating blood and protein from delicate instruments and equipment.

- Protective gloves, eye gear, and impervious gown must be worn.

Eyes-flush Immediately With Water For 15 Minutes. Seek Medical Attention. Temporary Redness Of Eye May Occur.

directions For Use
Use Fresh Metrizyme® For Each Instrument Or Set Of Instruments. Discard Diluted Metrizyme Solution After Each Use.
Manual Cleaning
Add 1 oz. (4 pumps of 1 quart and 1/2 gallon sizes yields 1 oz, 1 pump of 1 gallon size yields 1 oz) of concentrate to one gallon of warm water (68°F-104°F). Soak instruments and equipment immediately after use, until soil is dissolved and removed. Soak for a minimum of 1 minute. Soak longer if matter is dried on, until visibly clean. Immerse instruments completely and aspirate solution into any channels and lumens. Use an instrument brush for light mechanical cleaning if necessary. Following soak period, visually inspect for cleanliness and rinse thoroughly with warm water. Rough dry. After cleaning with MetriZyme, equipment and instruments must be disinfected/sterilized according to appropriate procedures.Automatic Reprocessors
Add 1/2 oz. of concentrate per gallon of water to the reprocessor reservoir, or attach container to the reprocessor’s automatic dispensing unit.Ultrasonic Units
Add 1 oz. of concentrate per gallon of water. Recommended water temperature is 68°F-104°F. A soak time of 2 minutes or more is recommended for ultrasonic cleaners. Process instruments according to manufacturer’s directions.Washer Sterilizers/decontaminators
Attach concentrate container to the unit’s automatic dispensing unit.Note: MetriZyme is not a sterilant/disinfectant.
Storage And Disposal
Storage
Store in a cool area.Solution Disposal
For unused solution, flush thoroughly with large quantities of water into sewage disposal system in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.For used solution, the waste solution must be characterized by the generator and disposed of in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.
Container Disposal
