Warning
Treated animals must not be slaughtered for use in food for at least 5 days after the latest treatment with this drug. This product must not be used in laying birds.
Medivit Indications
Chickens And Turkeys
As an aid in starting chicks and poults by stimulating feed intake and maintaining growth during stress periods caused by transport, debeaking, vaccination or weather variations. As an aid in the treatment of secondary infections associated with chronic respiratory disease (CRD) in chickens and transmissible enteritis (bluecomb) in turkeys.
Swine
As an aid in the treatment of bacterial enteritis (scours).
Calves
As an aid in the treatment of scours and in the prevention of nutritional deficiencies.
Dosage
Chickens And Turkeys
Dissolve 100 g of powder per 225 L of drinking water and administer for at least 5 days.
For severe cases, double the above dosage.
For Automatic Proportioner
Set the apparatus to distribute 30 mL stock solution per 3.78 L of drinking water (1 oz/gallon U.S.). Prepare the stock solution by dissolving 100 g of powder in 1.8 L of water. This will medicated 225 L of drinking water.
Swine (scours)
Dissolve 100 g of powder per 225 L of drinking water and administer for at least 3 days after symptoms disappear.
For Automatic Proportioner
Set the apparatus to distribute 30 mL stock solution per 3.78 L of drinking water (1 oz/gallon U.S.). Prepare the stock solution by dissolving 100 g of powder in 1.8 L of water. This will medicate 225 L of drinking water.
Calves (scours)
Administer 4 g of powder per 45 kg of body weight; mix with drinking water or milk and give every 12 hours, for 2 or 3 days.
Note
Only medicated drinking water should be provided during the treatment period and fresh solutions should be prepared daily. Consult a veterinarian if symptoms persist after 4 days of treatment.
The measuring cup, contained herein, when filled with a level quantity, provides approximately 50 g of product.
Storage Conditions
Store between 15°C and 25°C. Protect from moisture.
