PRECAUTIONARY STATEMENTS

Hazards to Humans and Domestic Animals

Warning

Causes substantial but temporary eye injury. Causes skin irritation. Do not get in eyes, on skin, or clothing. Wear goggles, face shield, or safety glasses. Wear a coverall over short-sleeved shirt and short pants and chemical resistant gloves such as nitrile or butyl gloves. Wear socks and chemical resistant footwear. Harmful if swallowed or absorbed through skin. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling and before eating, drinking, chewing gum, or using tobacco. Remove and wash contaminated clothing before reuse.

First Aid

Have the product container or label with you when calling a poison control center or doctor, or going for treatment. You may also contact SafetyCall® International (866) 897-8050 for emergency medical treatment information.

If In Eyes

Hold eye open and rinse slowly and gently with water for 15-20 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present, after the first 5 minutes, then continue rinsing eye. Call a poison control center or doctor for treatment advice.

If On Skin Or Clothing

Take off contaminated clothing. Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water for 15-20 minutes. Call a poison control center or doctor for treatment advice.

If Swallowed

Call poison control center or doctor immediately for treatment advice. Do not give any liquid to the person. Do not induce vomiting unless told to do so by the poison control center or doctor. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

NOTE TO PHYSICIANS AND VETERINARIANS: Do not administer or instill milk, cream or other substances containing vegetable or animal fats which will enhance absorption of lipophilic substances.

Contains petroleum distillate - vomiting may cause aspiration pneumonia.

Environmental Hazards

This pesticide is highly toxic to fish and other aquatic organisms. Do not apply directly to water, or to areas where surface water is present, or to intertidal areas below the mean high water mark. Do not apply when wind speeds exceed 10 mph. Do not contaminate water when disposing of equipment washwaters. Shrimp and crab may be killed at application rates recommended on the label. Use with caution where these are important resources. This pesticide is highly toxic to bees exposed to direct treatment or to residues remaining on the treated area. Do not apply this product or allow drift when bees are actively visiting treatment area. Applications should be timed to provide the maximum possible interval between treatment and the next period of bee activity.

Physical Or Chemical Hazards

Do not use or store near heat or open flame. Do not use this product in or on electrical equipment due to the possibility of shock hazard.

WARRANTY - CONDITION OF SALE

Our recommendations for use of this product are based upon tests believed reliable. Follow directions carefully. Timing and method of application, weather and crop conditions, mixtures with other chemicals not specifically recommended, and other influencing factors in the use of this product are beyond the control of the seller. Buyer assumes all risks of use, storage and handling of this material not in strict accordance with directions given herewith. To the extent permitted by law seller shall not be liable for consequential, special or indirect damages resulting from the use of handling of this product when such use and/or handling is not in strict accordance with directions given herewith. The foregoing is a condition of sale by the seller and is accepted as such by the Buyer.

Directions For Use

It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.

Keep container sealed when not in use. Protect from freezing. Shake or stir product thoroughly before using or reusing diluted emulsion. To prepare dilutions, the concentrate should first be stirred or agitated well. Add the required amount of concentrate to water and blend thoroughly. Do not hold dilutions for more than 24 hours.

For maximum effectiveness, a combination of localized application and space treatment is recommended. Remove pets, birds and cover fish aquariums before spraying.

Do not allow spray treatment to contaminate pasture land, crop land, poultry ranges or water supplies. Do not use on crops used for food, forage or pasture.

For initial clean-up of severe insect infestation, dilute at a rate of (1) part concentrate in 19 parts water (6.7 fl. oz. per gal.) (0.5%).

For normal infestations, dilute (1) part concentrate in 100 parts water (1.33 fl. oz. per gal.) (8 tsps. per gal.) (0.1%).

Outdoor Use Areas

CORRALS, FEED LOTS, GARDENS, PARKS, HOMES, DRIVE-IN THEATERS, DRIVE-IN RESTAURANTS, GOLF COURSES, PLAYGROUNDS, RECREATIONAL AREAS, SWINE LOTS, URBAN AREAS, ZOOS.

For temporary reduction of annoyance flies, gnats and mosquitoes in drive-in restaurants, drive-in theaters, golf courses, urban areas, parks, playgrounds and other recreational areas, dilute (1) part concentrate in 40 parts water (3.2 fl. oz. per gallon of water) (0.25%). Direct the spray into tall grass, shrubbery and around lawns where these pests may hover or rest. Apply while the air is still and avoid wetting foliage. Application should be made prior to occupancy.

In the treatment of corrals, feedlots, swine lots and zoos, cover any exposed water, drinking fountains and animal feed before application. Fill the area with mist and direct the spray into tall grass, shrubbery and around lawns where the above pests may hover or rest. Apply while the air is still and avoid wetting foliage. In zoos, prevent exposure of reptiles to the product.

Animals And Animal Premise Use

CATTLE BARNS, SWINE HOUSES, MILK ROOMS, KENNELS, POULTRY HOUSES, HORSE BARNS, DAIRIES, MILKING PARLORS

For initial clean-up of severe insect infestation, dilute at a rate of (1) part concentrate in 19 parts water (6.7 fl. oz. per gal.) (0.5%). For normal infestations, dilute (1) part concentrate in 100 parts water (1.33 fl. oz. per gal.) (8 tsps. per gal.) (0.1%).

INDOOR USE AREAS

HOME, AND THE NONFOOD/FEED AREAS OF BAKERIES, BEVERAGE PLANTS, CANNERIES, FLOUR MILLS, FOOD PROCESSING PLANTS, GRAIN ELEVATORS, GRANARIES, HOSPITALS (non-occupied areas), HOTELS, MOTELS, INDUSTRIAL INSTALLATIONS, KENNELS, MEAT-PACKING PLANTS, OFFICE BUILDINGS, RAILROAD CARS, RESTAURANTS, SCHOOLS, SHIPS’ HOLDS, SUPERMARKETS, TRUCK TRAILERS, WAREHOUSES.

Do not use in food/feed area of food/feed handling establishments, restaurants or other areas where food/feed is commercially prepared or processed. Do not use in serving areas while food is exposed or facility is in operation. Serving areas are areas where prepared food is served such as dining rooms but excluding areas where food may be prepared or held. In the home, all food processing surfaces and utensils should be covered during treatment or thoroughly washed before use. Exposed food/feed should be covered or removed.

Nonfood/feed areas of food/feed manufacturing, processing, and handling establishments are areas such as garbage rooms, lavatories, floor drains (to sewers), entries and vestibules, offices, locker rooms, machine rooms, boiler rooms, garages, mop closets and storage (after canning or bottling).

Do not apply to classrooms when in use. Do not apply product in occupied patient rooms or any rooms while occupied by the elderly or infirm.

Not for use in Federally Inspected Meat and Poultry Plants.

As a surface spray to control cockroaches, waterbugs, palmetto bugs, ants, silverfish, beetles, mites, weevils: Use a good sprayer and adjust to deliver a coarse, wet spray. Direct the spray into hiding places, cracks and crevices, under pallets, around containers of stored foods, around the base of machinery, and behind shelves and drawers. Spray bookcases for silverfish. Spray ant trails, nests and points of entry. If surface application only is to be used, spray floors, walls and other surfaces, applying at a rate of (1) gal. to 750 sq. ft. of surface.

To control fleas and ticks (adult and larvae), thoroughly spray infested areas, pet beds, resting quarters, nearby cracks and crevices, along and behind baseboards, molding, window and door frames, and localized areas of floor and floor covering. Fresh bedding should be placed in animal quarters following treatment. Apply with mechanical or compressed air equipment (non-thermal), adjusted to deliver a fine mist. Close doors and windows and shut off ventilating systems.

For rapid control of house flies, fruit flies, gnats, mosquitoes, skipper flies, wasps, hornets, bees, black flies, anguomois grain moths and tobacco moths, SPACE SPRAY - direct spray at an upward angle, distributing it uniformly through the entire area at a rate of (1) fl. oz. per 1000 cu. ft. of space. Keep area closed for at least 10 minutes. Vacate area after treatment and ventilate and sweep up dead insects before occupying.

For rapid kill of exposed or accessible stages of other insects named on the insert: Apply using conventional mechanical or compressed air equipment (non-thermal), following directions for space spraying in the paragraph above. Apply the above dilutions at a rate of (1) fl. oz. per 1000 cu. ft. of space.

PEST

PESTS ON FARM PREMISES (barns, dairies, loafing sheds, milking parlors, feedlots, stables, paddocks, poultry and livestock housing)

Horseflies, stable flies, lesser houseflies and other manure breeding flies; fleas; lice; mites; ticks, including deer tick (carrier of Lyme disease). Aids in control of cockroaches, mosquitoes, spiders.

Dilute 8 ounces in 6.25 gallons of water

Dilute 1 pint in 12.5 gallons of water

Dilute 1 quart in 25 gallons of water

Spray walls and surfaces thoroughly but do not allow runoff to occur; about 1 gallon per 750-1000 sq. ft. Treat no more often than once every 2 weeks. Do not contaminate animal’s feed or water by spray. Do not use in milk rooms.

Thoroughly wet pest breeding or resting areas but do not allow runoff to occur. Most efficient pest control is accomplished when heavy pressure and good contact are achieved. Timing and frequency of applications should be based on pest populations reaching nuisance levels, but accompanying manure removal and sanitation practices should precede sprays. Do not spray feed, food or water. Repeat as needed but not more often than once every two weeks.

FOG OR FINE MIST: Apply, directing the spray toward the ceiling and upper corners until the area is filled with mist. Use about 2 oz. per 1000 sq. ft. of space. For best results, close doors and windows before spraying and keep closed for ten to fifteen minutes. Vacate the treated area and ventilate before reoccupying.

PESTS ON LARGE ANIMALS (dairy or beef cattle, horses, sheep and goats)

BACK RUBBER: Recharge backrubber as needed. Spray lactating dairy cows only after milking is completed.

Spray to thoroughly cover entire animal. For lice or mites, a second treatment is recommended 14-21 days later. Spray lactating dairy cows only after milking is completed.

Dilute 2 ounces in 1 gallon of water

Dilute 1 pint in 2.5 gallons of water

SPOT TREATMENT - LOW PRESSURE SPRAY: Apply 1/2 ounce per ear or 2-4 oz. on face or 12-16 oz. along backline.

Spray, dip or sponge animals. Retreat after 14 days, spraying walls and floor and space bedding to kill later hatching, developing stages.

Blow flies, flies, mosquitoes, hog lice, fleas, ticks, including deer tick (carrier of Lyme disease)

Dilute 8 ounces in 25 gallons of water

Dilute 1 pint in 50 gallons of water

Dilute 1 quart in 100 gallons of water

Spray, dip or sponge to apply 1 pint per pig, especially around ears.

Poultry mites, northern fowl mites, lice

Dilute 8 ounces in 12.5 gallons of water

Dilute 1 pint in 25 gallons of water

Dilute 1 quart in 50 gallons of water

Spray at the rate of 1/2 ounce per bird, or 1 gallon per 100 birds, with a fine mist. Spray roosts, walls and nests or cages.

PESTS ON DOGS (do not treat puppies less than twelve weeks old)

Fleas; ticks, including deer tick (carrier of Lyme disease); lice; mange

Dilute 8 ounces in 12.5 gallons of water

Dilute 1 pint in 25 gallons of water

Dilute 1 quart in 50 gallons of water

Thoroughly wet the animal by dipping, sponging or spraying. Allow animal to dry in a warm place without rinsing or toweling. Gives long-lasting protection against reinfestation and applications at intervals of two to three weeks. Do not repeat treatment for 7 days. Consult a veterinarian before using this product on debilitated, aged, pregnant, medicated or nursing animals. Sensitivities may occur after using ANY pesticide product for pets. If signs of sensitivity occur, bathe your pet with mild soap and rinse with large amounts of water. If signs continue, consult a veterinarian immediately.

Storage And Disposal

Do not contaminate water, food or feed by storage or disposal.

Storage and Spill Procedures: Store upright at room temperature. Avoid exposure to extreme temperatures. In case of spillage or leakages, soak up with an absorbent material such as sand, sawdust, earth, Fuller’s earth, etc. Dispose of with chemical waste.

Pesticide Disposal: Pesticide, spray mixture or rinse water that cannot be used according to label instructions must be disposed of at or by an approved waste disposal facility.

Container Disposal:

For Containers equal to or less than 5 Gallons: Nonrefillable container. Do not reuse or refill this container. Clean container promptly after emptying. Triple rinse as follows: Empty the remaining contents into application equipment or a mix tank and drain for 10 seconds after the flow begins to drip. Fill the container 1/4 full with water and recap. Shake for 10 seconds. Pour rinsate into application equipment or a mix tank or store rinsate for later use or disposal. Drain for 10 seconds after the flow begins to drip. Repeat this procedure two more times. Offer for recycling if available. If recycling is not available: then dispose of container in a sanitary landfill or, if allowed by State and local authorities, by burning. If burned, stay out of smoke.

For Containers greater than 5 Gallons: Nonrefillable container. Do not reuse or refill this container. Clean container promptly after emptying. Triple rinse as follows: Empty the remaining contents into application equipment or a mix tank. Fill the container 1/4 full with water. Replace and tighten closures. Tip container on its side and roll it back and forth, ensuring at least one complete revolution, for 30 seconds. Stand the container on its end and tip it back and forth several times. Turn the container over onto its other end and tip it back and forth several times. Empty the rinsate into application equipment or a mix tank or store rinsate for later use or disposal. Repeat this procedure two more times. Offer for recycling if available. If recycling is not available: then dispose of container in a sanitary landfill or, if allowed by State and local authorities, by burning. If burned, stay out of smoke.

For Bulk containers: (Refillable Container) Refill this container with pesticides only. Do not reuse this container for any other purpose. Cleaning the container before final disposal is the responsibility of the person disposing of the container. Cleaning before refilling is the responsibility of the re-filler. To clean the container before final disposal, empty the remaining contents from this container into application equipment or mix tank. Fill the container about 10 percent full with water. Agitate vigorously or re-circulate water with the pump for 2 minutes. Pour or pump rinsate into application equipment or rinsate collection system. Repeat this procedure two more times.
