Farm Buildings
Stable Flies, House Flies, Mosquitoes, Lice - 2 to 4 L of product per 200 L of water - Spray walls and ceiling of barns thoroughly to point of run-off. Attractants such as molasses, syrup or sugar may be used at the rate of 10 L per 500 L of water. Repeat in 2 to 3 weeks, or as needed. Do not apply to fresh white wash until after 14 days, do not treat dairy barns.For Poultry Houses
Chicken Mite, Northern Fowl Mite, Lice - use a mixture of 525 mL of product per 10 L of water for Lice and a mixture of 175 mL of product per 10 L of water for Mites. Apply mix to get thorough coverage of nests, roosts, floors and litter. Do not apply directly to birds. Repeat as needed. May be used on shipping crates after use. Avoid contamination of food and water troughs. Avoid exposing birds to drafts after spraying. See limitation 5.Beef Cattle, Non-milking Dairy Cattle
To control Lice use 4 L of product per 100 L of water (2.4 L in 60 L or 160 mL in 4 L). Spray for complete coverage. Avoid eyes, ears and nose of animals. See limitations 1, 3 and 4.Back Rubbing Devices For Dairy Cattle And Beef Cattle
For the reduction of Lice and Horn Flies on Dairy and Beef Cattle, apply a mixture of 350 mL of product in 10 L of fuel or diesel oil to back rubbing devices. These devices should always be accessible (one for each 35-45 animals) and refilled every 2 to 3 weeks. See limitations 1 and 4.Swine
Sarcoptic Mange Mite - Apply 2.3 L of a solution containing 175 mL of product per 10 L of water per animal. Repeat in 12 days if necessary. Avoid eyes, mouth and nose of animals. See limitations 1, 2 and 4.GRANARY BINS (FOR GRAINS): Confused Flour Beetle, Granary Weevil, Sawtoothed Grain Beetle, Flat Grain Beetle, Rusty Grain Beetle - Mix 250 - 300 mL of product per 5 L of water and apply to 100 m2 - 2 to 4 weeks before storing grain. May be used within 1 day of storing grain. When bins are empty, repeat as needed. Also, treat outside of bins.
Limitations
1- Do not apply to animals under one month of age.
2- Do not apply to adult animals nursing young.
3- Do not apply to dairy animals within two weeks of calving.
4- Do not apply to livestock within 30 days of slaughter.
5- Do not apply to poultry within one week of slaughter.
Environmental Precautions
This product contains a petroleum distillate which is moderately to highly toxic to aquatic organisms. Avoid contamination of aquatic systems during application. Do not contaminate these systems through direct application, disposal of waste or cleaning equipment.Toxicological Information
DANGER - This product contains petroleum distillate. Malathion, upon repeated or prolonged use, may cause cholinesterase inhibition. Atropine is the antidote. In severe cases administer 4 mg intravenously at intervals of 10 to 15 minutes until atropinization is achieved. For children administer proportional dosage based on body weight. Do not use 2-PAM.Disposal
1. Triple- or pressure rinse the empty container. Add the rinsings to the spray mixture in the tank. 2. Follow provincial instruction for any required additional cleaning of the container prior to its disposal. 3. Make the empty container unsuitable for further use. 4. Dispose of the container in accordance with provincial requirements. 5. For information on disposal of unused, unwanted product, contact the manufacturer or the provincial regulatory agency. Contact the manufacturer and the provincial regulatory agency in case of a spill, and for clean-up of spills.Precautions
KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN AND DOMESTIC ANIMALS. Hazardous if swallowed. Avoid inhalation of spray mist. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wash exposed skin with soap and water after spraying. Remove contaminated clothing and clean before re-use. Use a proper respirator when spraying in an enclosed area. Do not store near food or feed. Do not contaminate food and foodstuffs. Highly toxic to fish and bees. Do not contaminate water supplies. Keep container tightly sealed when not in use.First Aid: If In Eyes
Hold eye open and rinse slowly and gently with water for 15-20 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present, after the first 5 minutes, then continue rinsing eye. Call a poison control centre or doctor for treatment advice.If On Skin Or Clothing
Take off contaminated clothing. Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water for 15-20 minutes. Call a poison control centre or doctor for treatment advice.If Swallowed
Call a poison control centre or doctor immediately for treatment advice. Do not induce vomiting unless told to do so by a poison control centre or doctor. Do not give any liquid to the person. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Take container, label or product name and Pest Control Product Registration Number with you when seeking medical attention.Notice To User
