Erysipelothrix Rhusiopathiae-mycoplasma Hyopneumoniae Bacterin

Recommended for use as an aid in the prevention of disease and mortality associated with Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae and to aid in the prevention of pneumonia caused by Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae infection in swine. M+Rhusigen bacterin contains the proprietary adjuvant Emunade^®.

Administration And Dosage

For vaccination of healthy swine. Use aseptic technique. Vaccinate pigs intramuscularly at 3-4 weeks of age or older with a 2 mL dose followed by a second 2 mL dose 3-4 weeks later. Duration of immunity to Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae has been demonstrated by challenge through 22 weeks of age.

M+ Rhusigen Caution

For use in swine only. Store at 2° to 7°C (35° to 45°F). Do not freeze. Use entire contents when first opened. Do not vaccinate within 21 days of slaughter. Transient local reaction may occur at the injection site. Anaphylactoid reactions may occur after use.

Antidote

Epinephrine.

Preservatives

Gentamicin and thimerosal.

Warning

Extreme caution should be used when injecting oil emulsion vaccines to avoid injecting your own finger or hand. Accidental injection can cause serious local reaction. Contact a physician immediately if accidental injection occurs.
