Aeromonas salmonicida, Vibrio anguillarum-ordalii-salmonicida Bacterin

Contains formalin-inactivated cultures of Aeromonas salmonicida, Vibrio anguillarum serotypes 1 & 2, Vibrio ordalii, and Vibrio salmonicida serotypes 1 & 2 in liquid emulsion with an oil-based adjuvant.

Uses

As an aid in the prevention of furunculosis, vibriosis, and cold water vibriosis by injection of healthy salmonids.

Vaccination Program

This bacterin has been shown to be safe and effective when administered by manual intraperitoneal injection to salmonids 10 g or larger. Vaccination should precede exposure of vaccinates to the disease agent by at least 400 degree-days (number of holding days multiplied by the mean water temperature (°C) during the period).

Lipogen Forte Dosage And Administration

Anaesthetize fish to immobilize. Administer a 0.1 mL injection dose of the bacterin to each fish intraperitoneally, one pelvic fin length ahead of the pelvic girdle along the ventral midline. Warming of the bacterin to room temperature (15 - 20°C; 59 - 68°F) may facilitate injection. Do not vaccinate fish within 60 days of slaughter.

Lipogen Forte Cautions

1. Product must be shaken well before using.

2. Store in original container at 2 - 8°C (35 - 46°F).

3. Use entire contents when first opened.

4. Vaccinate healthy fish only.

5. Protect from light. Do not freeze.

6. If accidental injection of the operator occurs, the operator should discontinue activity and seek medical attention immediately.

7. KEEP OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN.
