Klenzyme
This treatment applies to the following species:Enzymatic Presoak And Cleaner
Enzymatic Cleaner For Removal Of Proteinaceous Soils On Surgical Instruments And Medical Devices.
Klenzyme Is For Use On Surgical Instruments, Flexible Fiber/optic Endoscopes, Rigid Scopes, Manual Resuscitators, And Apparatus Where Blood, Protein, And Mucous Form Hard To Remove Soils, Or Where Mechanical Scrubbing Is Impractical. klenzyme Is Also Recommended For Use In Automated Washing Equipment. Medical Devices Should Be Sterilized Or Disinfected By Appropriate Means In A Separate Subsequent Step.

For presoak, dilute 1 fl. oz. per gallon of water (8 mL per Liter). Activity increases as the water temperature increases. Soak minimum 2 to 5 minutes. Soak time may be longer with dried on proteinaceous material. If lower temperatures are used, a longer soak time may be necessary. Do not exceed 150ºF (65ºC). After soaking, rinse thoroughly or transfer to next cleaning operation, such as manual cleaning, washer/disinfector, or ultrasonic cleaner. Discard used solutions daily or when visibly soiled. This is a complete product. Do not add other chemicals, such as bleach or detergents. Added chemicals may destroy effectiveness of this product. Klenzyme can be automatically fed at 1/4 to 1 fl. oz. per gallon (2 to 8 mL per Liter) in ultrasonic and water/disinfectors, depending on water hardness conditions and soil load.Warning
Contains Subtilisins (proteolytic enzymes) (CAS# 9014-01-1). Causes eye irritation. Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing. Wear protective eyewear and gloves. Do not breathe spray mist. In rare instances, allergic respiratory sensitization has resulted from chronic or sub-chronic exposures to dusts or mists. Do not allow products to dry on clothing.FIRST AID: Eyes - Flush eyes immediately with water for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention. Skin - Flush skin immediately with water for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention if irritation develops. Ingestion - Do not induce vomiting. Get medical attention. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. If conscious, drink a large quantity of milk or water. Inhalation - Remove patient to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. Get medical attention.
Storage And Disposal
STORE IN A COOL PLACE. Thoroughly rinse empty container and deposit in water receptacle for removal.For hospital and professional use only. Not for human use.
