K-9 Bluelite Indications
Administer K-9 BLUELITE® in the water or on the dog food whenever dogs are dehydrated or are losing body condition as a result of debilitating stresses. K-9 BLUELITE® should be used to help prevent dehydration for dogs that are moved or shipped for competitive events such as shows, field trials, and long distance performance runs. For use in minimizing the stress of dehydration as a result of extensive physical activity, diarrhea or conditions that may cause sudden losses of body fluid such as shipping, environmental changes and new surroundings.
For oral administration to dogs with gastritis and diarrhea.
K-9 BLUELITE® provides a digestive acidifying action in combination with multiple sources of energy. This acidifying action and the readily absorbed energy ingredients help provide optimum digestive pH maximizing energy utilization and electrolyte absorption. This energizing-acidification action provides rehydration action in performance animals such as racing dogs and young puppies where prolonged dehydration and energy deficits may be a threat to normal health.
K-9 Bluelite Dosage And Administration
A. Drinking Water Administration: Mix one (1) pouch or one (1) heaping teaspoon to each one (1) to two (2) pints of drinking water depending upon the severity of dehydration. Keep K-9 BLUELITE® in all of the drinking water consumed by the dog for five (5) to seven (7) days or for as long as the signs of dehydration persist. It can be fed continuously as a vitamin-energy supplement in debilitated dogs.
B. Dog Food Applications: Mix K-9 BLUELITE® with the dog food or dissolve one (1) pouch or one (1) heaping teaspoon of K-9 BLUELITE® in about one-fourth (1/4) cup of water and pour over the dog food. Feed one (1) pouch or one (1) heaping teaspoon per each 10-15 lbs. of body weight per day depending upon the condition of the dog.
C. K-9 BLUELITE® can be added to the drinking water at the recommended rate or diluted one (1) to four (4) (1 part K-9 BLUELITE® and 4 parts water) and used as an oral lavage in mature dogs or puppies suffering from dehydration.
Trial Data
K-9 BLUELITE® has been tested and evaluated in veterinary clinics, breeding kennels, sled dogs, greyhounds, lactating bitches and in nursing puppies. In these field trials, K-9 BLUELITE® helped restore and maintain normal body fluid balance in puppies that were afflicted with bacterial diarrhea and in mature dogs suffering from viral diarrhea. In an extensive trial in a breeding kennel, K-9 BLUELITE® helped maintain water intake in whelping-lactating bitches and increased water intake in dehydrated nursing puppies by 50%. K-9 BLUELITE®'s rehydration action is readily visible when administered in the water or in the dog food.In some house pets and dogs with a selective taste and appetite, K-9 BLUELITE® should be added to the dog food, as any changes in water taste may delay water intake for a short duration.
