Warnings

Keep out of reach of children. Do not use in horses intended for food as a withdrawal period has not been established.

IRON INJECTION FOR HORSES

Active ingredients per mL:

Iron (as ferric hydroxide-sucrose complex)

20 mg

Hippiron 1000 Indications

As an aid in the treatment of iron deficiency in horses (equine anaemia).

Dosage and Administration

Weaned foals and yearlings: 5 mL per 100 kg bodyweight. Adult horses: 10 mL per 100 kg bodyweight. By slow intravenous injection directly into the jugular vein, using aseptic technique.

Cautions: Do not exceed recommended dosage. If symptoms of iron deficiency persist, consult a veterinarian.

Adverse Events: Anaphylactic reactions have been reported with the use of this product. If an allergic reaction occurs, administer epinephrine, cortisone or antihistamine immediately, as indicated.

Storage conditions: Store at room temperature (15-25°C). Protect from light. Do not refrigerate.
