Germe-zone should be administered internally to poultry in the drinking water because giving it in the feed, milk or slop reduces its germicidal and antiseptic properties - but not its astringent action.

For Cuts, Scratches, Abrasions, Wounds And Burns

Germe-zone is a very effective antiseptic application to the skin and semi-exterior mucous membrane, for Poultry and Stock. On cuts and wounds, it may be applied full strength and will not injure tissue. An antiseptic wash may be made by diluting one part of the Germe-zone with 25 parts of water. Germe-zone promotes healing and is a cleansing lotion. A strong solution is often very beneficial in the treatment of minor skin irritations. For common irritations of eyes or mouth, bathing the parts with a diluted solution of Germe-zone is frequently valuble.

For Use In The Drinking Water Of Poultry As A Valuble Prevention Of The Transmismittal Of Diseases Through The Drinking Water.

For Simple Diarrhoea And Bowel Trouble. Also For Antiseptic Application For Occular Roup And Many Other Conditions.

For Baby Chicks And Poults

Germe-zone should be used in the first drink the chicks or poults get (5 mL to 570 mL of water). Give for 3 days, then 3 times a week for first 6 weeks. After that, give 30 mL to 4.5 L of drinking water every other day.

For Older And Adult Birds

Precautionary measures are as important for adult fowl as for chicks. Keep right on using Germe-zone for growing and adult birds, 30 mL to 4.5 L of drinking water every other day. Germe-zone is a valuable astringent in the care of birds with Simple Diarrhoea resulting from chilling or improper food, and as an antiseptic application for Occular Roup or Swelled Head, Eversion of Oviduct, Sore Eyes, Vent Gleet, and for its use for many other conditions. Germe-zone is just as valuble for Turkeys. Use in the same dilution recommended for Chickens.
