Aeromonas salmonicida Bacterin

This bacterin contains formalin inactivated culture of Aeromonas salmonicida.

Use

As an aid in the prevention of furunculosis caused by Aeromonas salmonicida.

Vaccination Program

This bacterin has been shown to be safe and effective when administered by immersion to healthy salmonids. Vaccination should precede exposure to the disease agent by 400 degree-days (number of days multiplied by the mean water temperature [°C] during period).

Furogen Dip Dosage And Administration

IMMERSION VACCINATION: Each litre of undiluted bacterin is sufficient for 100 kg of fish. To use, shake bacterin well and add 1 litre of bacterin to 9 litres of clean hatchery water. Net, drain and immerse 5 kg batches of fish (2 g or larger in size) in bacterin for 60 seconds. The bath may be reused up to 20 times before discarding. Withhold food from fish 24 hours prior to vaccination. Revaccination can take place if immunity is required for longer than 30 days.

Furogen Dip Cautions

1. Shake well before use.

2. Store in original container at 2-8° C (35-46° F). Do not freeze

3. Use entire contents when first opened.

4. Vaccinate healthy fish only.

5. Do not vaccinate within 21 days of slaughter.
