Persistence of maternal origin antibody in kittens is known to interfere with development of active immunity following vaccination. Ideally, kittens should be vaccinated at 9 weeks of age with revaccination 3-4 weeks later. Adult cats should receive a 1 ml dose followed by a second dose 3-4 weeks later. Annual revaccination with a single 1 ml dose is recommended.

Feline Imuno-Vax 4 Caution

Do not freeze. Use entire contents when first rehydrated. Do not vaccinate pregnant queens. Burn these containers, including syringe and needle. An occasional animal may demonstrate a transient fever, and mild arthralgia and/or myalgia within the first week following vaccination. In case of anaphylactoid reactions, epinephrine should be administered immediately. This product contains gentamicin and amphotericin B as preservatives.
