Fel-o-vax Giardia
This treatment applies to the following species:Giardia Lamblia Vaccine
Killed Protozoa
For Use In Cats Only
For subcutaneous vaccination of healthy cats, 8 weeks of age or older as an aid in the prevention of disease and shedding caused by Giardia lamblia infections.
Giardiasis is a health concern for people and cats. While Giardia infection is a recognized zoonotic disease, the role that the cat assumes in human disease is not well established. Fel-O-Vax Giardia has been proven to prevent clinical disease caused by Giardia lamblia infection in cats and to significantly reduce the duration of cyst shedding. Subsequent to Giardia lamblia exposure, some vaccinates may shed, therefore, proper hygiene and sanitation practices should be implemented.
Dose
Cats, inject one 1 mL dose subcutaneously using aseptic technique. A second dose is given two to four weeks after first vaccination. Annual revaccination is recommended.Infovax-id® System
