For the vaccination of healthy breeding-age swine as an aid in the prevention and control of leptospirosis, erysipelas and porcine parvovirus.
DESCRIPTION: FARROWCHECK is a combination bacterin-vaccine comprised of chemically inactivated cultures of five serovars of Leptospira interrogans, a selected strain of Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae and a highly antigenic strain of porcine parvovirus and is combined with Immunostim® (Mycobacterial Cell Wall Fraction (MCWF) immune stimulating adjuvant).
Farrowcheck with Immunostim Indications
Leptospirosis and porcine parvovirus are common causes of reproductive losses in swine. Leptospirosis is often manifested by abortions, stillbirths or weak piglets. As well as the above, parvoviral infections may also result in fetal resorptions and mummification. Erysipelas clinical entities include sudden death, diamond-skin disease, agalactia and arthritis.Farrowcheck with Immunostim Dosage And Administration: Farrowcheck should Be Administered By Intramuscular Injection. sows And Gilts
For primary vaccination, administer 5 mL at 5 and 2 weeks prior to breeding. To maintain maximum active immunity, administer a 5 mL dose 2 weeks prior to subsequent breedings.Boars
Primary vaccination should begin at 3 months of age. Administer a 5 mL dose. For maximum protection, repeat at 3-4 weeks and then semi-annually.Herd Introductions
Where possible, vaccinate 2 weeks prior to herd entry.Precautions
1. VACCINATE HEALTHY ANIMALS ONLY. Sick animals may not respond well.
2. SHAKE WELL BEFORE USING.
3. STORE AT 2-7ºC (36-45ºF). DO NOT FREEZE.
4. Use entire contents when first opened. Discard any remaining portions.
5. Observe aseptic techniques for aspirating contents and injecting animals.
6. All syringes and needles should be sterile and free from any chemical residues.
7. Temporary localized swelling may occur at the site of injection.
8. In the event of an anaphylactic reaction, administer epinephrine.
9. Contains amphotericin B, gentamicin and thimerosal as preservatives.
10. DO NOT VACCINATE WITHIN 21 DAYS BEFORE SLAUGHTER.

Concurrent disease, stress due to shipping or weaning, nutritional status, parasitism, environmental conditions and concurrent therapeutic regimens are important considerations. Consult your veterinarian regarding any concerns you have about the ability of your animals to obtain maximum benefit from this product.
