Lubricating Jelly With Detergent Properties
Ready-to-use scented lubricant with detergent properties for rectal and vaginal examinations and other obstetrical work
Product Description: A special scented lubricant with detergent properties, to aid in cleansing the skin while minimizing irritation to skin and membranes. This product has not been tested for spermicidal activity.
Uses: Can be used as a lubricant of operator’s hands and arms in vaginal and rectal examinations and other obstetrical work, may be used as a lubricant for catheters, stomach tubes, etc. Ideal for use during ultrasound examinations to help reduce air bubbles.
Directions For Use
Wet hands and arms with water and then apply Equigel liberally, covering the entire surface. When hands and arms are contaminated with foreign matter, the first application of Equigel should be massaged into the skin thoroughly and then removed with warm water. This cleanses the hands and arms. While the arms are still wet, apply another coating of Equigel before beginning the examination. If additional lubrication is needed, more Equigel can be applied while the arms are wet.
Ingredients: USP purified water, polyvinyl pyrrolidone, ammonium lauryl sulfate, propylene glycol, benzyl alcohol, and tricyclodecenyl acetate.
Note: The skin surface must be free of ordinary soap to obtain all of the advantages of Equigel. In case of skin irritation, discontinue use.
