Wear safety glasses. Where splash potential exists, wear chemical splash goggles. Where there is potential for skin contact have available and wear as appropriate impervious gloves, apron, pants and jacket. Wear NIOSH approved respiratory protection, as appropriate. Do not take internally. Use and store only with adequate ventilation. Wash thoroughly after handling.

Chemical And Physical Hazards

This product is a formulated alkaline detergent solution; contamination with other materials such as acids, amines or ammonia bearing compounds, etc., may cause a dangerous chemical reaction. Keep all chemical and foreign materials away from this solution. Keep away from excessive heat.

Storage And Disposal

Store in original container, in areas inaccessible to children. Store in a cool place. Keep container tightly closed. Do not store on side. Avoid creasing or impacting of side walls. Do not reuse empty container. Discard in trash or recycle.

Immediately flush with cool water. Remove contact lenses, if applicable, and continue flushing for 15 minutes. Obtain medical attention.

Skin

Immediately flush with water. Wash with soap and water. Obtain medical attention if irritation persists.

Inhalation

If symptoms develop move victim to fresh air. If symptoms persist, obtain medical attention.

Ingestion

Do not induce vomiting. Rinse mouth with water, then drink one or two glasses of water. Obtain medical attention.

Never give anything by mouth if victim is unconscious, or is convulsing.

Have the product container or label with you when calling a Poison Control Center or doctor or going for treatment.

DuPont™ Chlor-A-Foam™ XL is a high foaming product that rapidly removes protein, fat and other organic soils from surfaces. It can be used through a variety of foam generating equipment as well as in pressure washers.

DuPont™ Chlor-A-Foam™ XL is used for cleaning hatchers, setters, equipment, egg rooms, chick boxes, walls, floors and refuse areas in poultry hatcheries. In poultry and meat processing facilities, it is used for cleaning equipment, shackles, walls, floors and refuse areas. It is also used for animal confinement facilities as a general cleaner. It is excellent for stainless steel, concrete, plastic, glass, tile and other surfaces. It is compatible with quaternary and phenolic disinfectants.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Foam Cleaning

Use DuPont™ Chlor-A-Foam™ XL at a use solution (2-4 ounces per gallon of water) (16-32 ml/ liter) through a suitable foam generator. Foam the cleaning solution on the surfaces to be cleaned. Allow foam to work for 5-10 minutes and flush soils away with water under pressure. After thorough cleaning and rinsing, let surfaces dry as much as possible and then follow-up with an appropriate DuPont disinfecting solution. Consult a DuPont Technical Representative for recommendations.

Low Or High Pressure Washing

Use DuPont™ Chlor-A-Foam™ XL at a use solution (0.25 - 4.0 ounces per gallon of water) (2-32 ml/ liter) and apply to surfaces to be cleaned as a soft spray. Thoroughly soak surfaces. Allow contact time of 5-10 minutes before thoroughly rinsing all surfaces with clean water at high pressure. After thorough cleaning and rinsing, let surfaces dry as much as possible and then follow-up with an appropriate DuPont disinfecting solution. Consult a DuPont Technical Representative for recommendations.

Food & Egg Processing Equipment, Utensils And Other Food Contact Surfaces

Follow foam cleaning instructions. Thoroughly rinse cleaned surfaces with potable water before they are reused. Where recommended or permitted, apply a sanitizer solution to food contact surfaces before reuse.

NOTE:

Do not use on soft metals such as aluminum and brass.

This product is not recommended for manual cleaning operations. If some manual cleaning must be done wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
