Cleaner of surgical instruments, flexible and rigid scopes and other general health care equipment.

- Contains A Proteolytic Enzyme Shown To Be Effective In Breaking Down A Wide Range Of Proteinaceous Matter, Including Hemoglobin

- Neutral Ph Formulated Solution Containing Surfactants, Stabilizers, Chelating Agents And Preservatives

Propylene Glycol, Non-ionic Surfactants, Proteolytic Enzyme, Water and Inerts

Directions For Use

Use Fresh Detergezyme® For Each Endoscope Or Set Of Instruments. Discard Diluted Detergezyme Solution After Each Use.

Manual Cleaning

One ounce (1 pump) of DetergeZyme® per gallon of water is recommended for general purpose cleaning. Additional amounts may be required for hard-to-remove matter. DetergeZyme is designed to be effective in water temperatures between 68°F-104°F (20°C-40°C). The enzyme in DetergeZyme may become ineffective in water temperatures exceeding this level. A minimum soak time of 10 minutes is recommended with hard-to-remove matter possibly requiring additional soak time.

Automatic Cleaning Units

Follow recommendations under Manual Cleaning except that endoscope reprocessors may require less DetergeZyme. For endoscope reprocessors, ultrasonic units and washer sterilizers/decontaminators, process instruments according to manufacturer's instructions.

Thoroughly rinse DetergeZyme from instruments making sure to aspirate rinse water through all channels, box locks, lumens, etc.

Once instruments have dried, they must be sterilized/disinfected according to appropriate procedures.

Note: DetergeZyme is not a sterilant/disinfectant.

Do Not Add Other Chemicals Such As Bleaches, Peroxides Or Other Detergents Which Could Destroy The Effectiveness Of detergezyme.

Eyes

Eye irritant. Avoid contact with eyes by wearing eye protection. In case of eye contact, flush immediately with plenty of water. Get medical attention.

Skin

Avoid skin contact. Prolonged or repeated contact may cause irritation or skin sensitization. In case of skin contact, flush with water. Get medical attention if irritation occurs.

Ingestion

May be harmful if swallowed. If swallowed, drink large quantities of water or milk. DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. Get medical attention.

Storage And Disposal

Storage

It is recommended that DetergeZyme be stored at or below room temperature of 72°F (22°C). Avoid storing at temperatures exceeding 100°F (38°C).

Solution Disposal

For unused solution, flush thoroughly with large quantities of water into sewage disposal system in accordance with federal, state, and local regulation.

For used solution, the waste solution must be characterized by the generator and disposed of in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.

Container Disposal

Do not reuse empty container. Thoroughly rinse container before disposing. Wrap container and put in trash.
