D-128 Indications

A concentrated, multi-purpose germicidal detergent and deodorant effective in hard waters, up to 400 ppm hard water (calculated as CaCO3) plus 5% organic serum.

Disinfects, cleans and deodorizes in one step.

Recommended for use in veterinary clinics and animal life science laboratories, equine farms, tack shops, pet shops, kennels, poultry and turkey farms, dairy and hog farms, breeding and grooming establishments.

Pharmacology

Bactericidal at 1:28 (1 oz. per gallon of water) against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Fusobacterium necrophorum, Staphylococcus aureus and Salmonella choleraesuis according to the current AOAC Use-Dilution Test method, modified in the presence of 400 ppm synthetic hard water (calculated as CaCO3) plus 5% organic serum.

Fungicidal against Trichophyton interdigitale and Candida albicans according to the AOAC fungicidal test, modified in the presence of 400 ppm hard water (calculated as CaCO3) plus 5% organic serum at a 1:128 dilution (1 oz. per gallon of water).

Virucidal against influenza A/Hong Kong, Herpes simplex type I, Herpes simplex type II, vaccinia, rubella, adenovirus type 4, feline picornavirus, feline leukemia virus, canine distemper virus, rabies virus, porcine parvovirus, pseudorabies virus, infectious bronchitis (avian IBV), canine parvovirus according to the virucidal qualification, modified in the presence of 400 ppm hard water plus 5% organic serum at a 1:128 dilution (1 oz. per gallon of water).

D-128 Dosage And Administration

It is a violation of federal law to use the product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.

General use directions for disinfecting: For use on hard, nonporous surfaces such as floors, walls, metal surfaces, porcelain and plastic surfaces.

Remove gross filth and heavy soil deposits, then thoroughly wet surfaces as recommended and required. Use 1 oz. per gallon of water for a minimum contact time of 10 minutes in a single application. Can be applied with a mop, sponge or cloth, as well as spraying or soaking.

The recommended use solution is prepared fresh for each use, then discarded. Rinsing is not necessary unless floors are to be waxed or polished.

Mildew static instructions: Will effectively inhibit the growth and mildew plus the odors caused by them when applied to hard, nonporous surfaces such as walls, floors and tabletops.

Apply (1 oz. per gallon of water) with a cloth, mop or sponge making sure to wet all surfaces completely. Let air dry. Prepare a fresh solution for each use. Repeat application once a week or when growth reappears.

Precaution(s)

Storage and Disposal Prohibitions: Do not contaminate water, food or feed by storage or disposal. Open dumping is prohibited. Do not re-use the empty container.

Pesticide Disposal: Pesticide wastes are acutely hazardous. Improper disposal of excess pesticide, spray mixture or rinsate is a violation of federal law. If these wastes cannot be disposed of according to label instructions, contact a State Pesticide or Environmental Control Agency, or the Hazardous Waste representative at the nearest EPA Regional Office for guidance.

Container Disposal: Plastic containers, triple rinse (or equivalent). Then offer for recycling or reconditioning, or puncture and dispose of in a sanitary landfill, or by incineration, or, if allowed by state and local authorities, by burning. If burned, stay out of smoke.

General: Consult federal, state or local disposal authorities for approved alternative procedures, such as limited open burning.

D-128 Caution(s)

Hazards to Humans and Domestic Animals: Keep out of the reach of children.

Precautionary Statements: Corrosive. Causes eye damage and severe skin irritation. Do not get in the eyes, on skin or on clothing. To protect eyes, wear goggles or a face shield and to protect skin, wear rubber gloves when handling. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before re-use. Harmful if swallowed.

Statement of Practical Treatment: In case of contact, immediately flush the eyes or skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. For eyes, call a physician.

If swallowed, drink promptly a large quantity of milk, egg whites, gelatin solution, or if these are not available, drink large quantities of water. Avoid alcohol. Get medical attention.

Note to Physician: Probable mucosal damage may contraindicate the use of gastric lavage. Measures against circulatory shock, respiratory depression and convulsion may be needed.
