Clostridial 7-wayThis treatment applies to the following species:
Clostridium Chauvoei-septicum-novyi-sordellii-perfringens Types C & D Bacterin-toxoid
CompositionPrepared from cultures of the organisms listed. Alum precipitated.
CattleUsing aseptic technique, inject 5 mL subcutaneously. Repeat in 21 to 28 days and once annually.
SheepUsing aseptic technique, inject 2.5 mL subcutaneously. Repeat in 21 to 28 days and once annually.
PrecautionsStore out of direct sunlight at a temperature between 35-45°F. Avoid freezing. Shake well before using. Use entire contents when first opened. Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter. Transient swelling at the injection site may occur. Anaphylactoid reactions may occur. Antidote: Epinephrine.
Clostridial 7-Way IndicationsRecommended for the vaccination of healthy, susceptible cattle and sheep as an aid in the reduction of diseases caused by Clostridium chauvoei, Cl. septicum, Cl. novyi, Cl. sordellii, Cl. perfringens Types C & D. Although Clostridium perfringens Type B is not a significant problem in the U.S.A., immunity may be provided against the beta and epsilon toxins elaborated by Clostridium perfringens Type B. This immunity is derived from the combination of Type C (beta) and Type D (epsilon) fractions.
