Chlamydia Psittaci Bacterin

This treatment applies to the following species:
Manufacturer: Colorado Serum

An aqueous suspension of inactivated cultures of Chlamydia psittaci, abortigenic serovar, emulsified with a mineral oil adjuvant.

For use in vaccinating healthy ewes to aid in the control of Ovine Enzootic Abortion.

Contains permitted levels of penicillin and streptomycin.

Directions

Store at 2° to 7° C. Warm to room temperature prior to use. Shake well. Do not freeze.

Precautions

Do not vaccinate within 60 days before slaughter. Administer adrenalin or equivalent for anaphylactoid reaction. Use entire contents when first opened. Use of products containing oil adjuvants may result in formation of a transient or more permanent granuloma of small to moderate size.

Chlamydia Psittaci Bacterin Dosage And Administration

Aseptically inject 2.0 ml subcutaneously in the upper part of the neck 60 days prior to breeding. Repeat the dose 30 days later. Re-vaccinate annually just prior to breeding.
