This treatment applies to the following species:A TOPICAL WOUND DRESSING FOR LOW EXUDATING WOUNDS
CONTENTS STERILE UNLESS PACKAGE IS OPENED OR DAMAGED.
CARRADRES™ Clear Hydrogel Sheet wound dressing is a sterile hydrogel polymer sheet consisting of 89.5% water combined with a cross-linked polyethylene oxide matrix and a hydrogel. It is backed on both sides with an inert polyethylene film that controls water vapor transmission. CARRADRES™ is hydrophilic and can expand its molecular network to absorb three times its own weight in blood, serum. or water. CARRADRES™ has a high capacity for absorbing heat that provides a cooling effect on application.
CarraDres Clear Hydrogel Sheet Indications
- Pressure ulcers, Stages I-II
- Partial-thickness draining and non-draining wounds
- 1st and 2nd degree burns
- Radiation reactions
- Non-infected wounds
Directions For Use
1. Gently cleanse wound with a suitable wound cleanser such as CARRAKLENZ™ or ULTRAKLENZ™.
2. Peel open package and remove CARRADRES™ Clear Hydrogel Sheet using a clean technique. Ensure the clear polyethylene backing remains attached to the hydrogel sheet. It may tend to adhere to the package.
3. Remove blue polyethylene film backing and discard.
4. Apply uncovered (hydrogel) side to wound. Clear polyethylene backing should remain intact on opposite side. Allow CARRADRES™ Clear Hydrogel Sheet to overlap intact skin (may be cut to fit if desired).
5. Change as often as necessary until wound is healed. May be left on up to 3 days.
Dressing Changes
1. To remove, carefully lift an edge of the dressing while gently pressing against the skin.
2. Change as often as necessary until the wound is healed. May be left on up to 3 days.
3. Prior to applying a new dressing, cleanse the wound with a suitable cleanser such as CARRAKLENZ™ Wound & Skin Cleanser, ULTRAKLENZ™ Wound & Skin Cleanser, or MICROKLENZ™ Antiseptic Wound Cleanser.
