Ingredient(s)

CAN-ADDASE™ contains protease, lipase and amylase enzymes which aid in the digestion of proteins, fats and carbohydrates respectively. In addition to these enzymes, CAN-ADDASE™ also contains a uniquely formulated quantity of pure lactobacilli that are bacteria naturally found in the intestine and that play an important role in nutrition by maintaining the intestinal degree of acidity.

Can-Addase Indications

CAN-ADDASE™ is a nutritional aid supplement which contains enzymes capable of assisting in the digestion of food components. These enzymes are produced by microbial fermentation and if used as directed, CAN-ADDASE™ will improve the digestion process taking place in the stomach and intestine.

The use of CAN-ADDASE™ is especially recommended for show dogs, pregnant and nursing bitches, dogs in poor condition, convalescence and elderly dogs.

Discussion

It has been known for several years, that lactobacilli play an important role in nutrition. Although the number of these bacteria normally present in the intestine is rather small, they are essential in maintaining the intestinal pH. This function helps to maintain normal flora levels in the digestive tract by suppressing the growth of acid sensitive microbes which proliferate at higher pH levels and may produce toxic substances and in some cases may lead to acute or chronic enteritis, diarrhea and indigestion. Treatment of these conditions may involve the use of antibiotics which may suppress susceptible components of the intestinal flora, allowing the proliferation of the undesirable organisms such as staphylococci and aerobacter which may produce harmful toxins and excessive gas.

The Benefits of CAN-ADDASE™: CAN-ADDASE™ is a unique nutritional digestive aid specifically formulated to supplement and assist the normal enzyme action in the digestive tract of dogs. CAN-ADDASE™ contains a carefully selected and scientifically prepared range of digestive enzymes to offset problems caused by digestive stress in dogs. Supplemented with a properly balanced diet, CAN-ADDASE™ will help your dog reach and maintain optimum condition and peak performance.
