Description
Each 3 mL dose contains 1 gram of phenylbutazone.Butequine Indications
Use orally in horses for the treatment of arthritis, myositis, inflammation and rheumatism.Dosage
3-6 mL (1-2 g of phenylbutazone) per 227 kg of body weight daily, in at least two divided doses. Daily dose should not exceed 12 mL (4 g). As symptoms regress, reduce the dosage accordingly. Re-evaluate the diagnosis and treatment if no significant clinical effect is evident after five days.Contraindications
Discontinue medication if signs of gastrointestinal upset or blood dyscrasia appear. Do not administer to animals with cardiac, renal or hepatic disease.Warning
Keep this and all medications out of the reach of children. This drug must not be administered to horses that are to be slaughtered for use in food.Storage
Store at room temperature (15-30°C).Packaging
60 mL syringe.Read Directions Carefully
Each syringe contains 60 mL of Butequine® paste. The syringe plunger is divided into 20 units. Each unit will dispense 3 mL of Butequine® paste which provides 1 g of Phenylbutazone.
1 UNIT ON SYRINGE PLUNGER DISPENSES 1 GRAM OF PHENYLBUTAZONE.
Do Not Administer Total Contents As A Single Dose Under Any Circumstances.
For optimum syringeability use Butequine® paste at room temperature.
