Botumink

Store at 2° to 7°C., 35° to 45°F

For use in mink.

Botumink Indications

Botumink® aids in preventing Type C botulism in healthy, susceptible mink.

ADMINISTRATION AND DOSAGE: Inject 1 ml under the loose skin of the armpit of mink at least 6 weeks old. For proper suspension, shake before and occasionally during use. Revaccinate all adults at the time of kit vaccination. Read the package leaflet before use.

Adverse Reactions

Adverse reactions are uncommon. A small local irritation at the infection site may be seen in some mink for up to 21 days post-vaccination. Antidote for anaphylaxis: epinephrine.

Warning

Use entire contents when first opened.

Circumstances such as incubating diseases, maternal immunity, Aleutian disease, nutritional deficiencies, stress, and parasitism, may exist UNDETECTED at the time of vaccination and may result in incomplete protection from vaccination. If one of the diseases listed in the INDICATIONS is diagnosed in previously vaccinated animals, immediate notification of UNITED is recommended.

1. ANTIDOTE FOR ANAPHYLACTOID REACTION: Epinephrine. It is advisable to have epinephrine on hand prior to starting vaccination.

2. These vaccines have been demonstrated to be safe and, with the exception of autogenous vaccines, efficacious in healthy, susceptible animals when vaccinated according to label directions. However, they may not protect animals with maternal antibodies.

3. Risk of infectious disease can be minimized by taking the following measures:

a. Install and maintain fences to prevent pets and wild animals from entering the farm.

b. Do not introduce new animals to the farm without at least a 30 day quarantine period.

c. Limit visitors to your farm and provide protective coverings for feet and clothing.
