Biotin and DL-Methionine powder supplement for horses

Bio-Meth Indications

For use as a nutritional supplement for horses as an aid in prevention of biotin and/or methionine deficiencies.

Feeding Directions: The usual amount for a 1,000 to 1,200 pound (500 kg) horse is 15 mg of D-Biotin and 5 grams of DL-Methionine (2 teaspoonfuls) per day. For heavier horses, double the above amount. The amount for ponies is one teaspoonful per day. Supplementation may be necessary for six to nine months.

Preparation: Bio-Meth can be administered by mixing the daily amount in the concentrate or by top dressing on grain, preferably rolled or ground. To facilitate the proper adhesion of Bio-Meth to the ration, slightly moisten the grain with water or liquid supplement.

Note: One teaspoonful of Bio-Meth weighs approximately 3.5 grams and contains 7.5 mg of D-Biotin and 2.5 grams DL-Methionine.

A teaspoon measure is enclosed in each package of Bio-Meth for convenience.
