MYCOPLASMA GALLISEPTICUM VACCINE

This product has been shown to be effective for the vaccination of healthy chickens 12 weeks of age or older against Mycoplasma gallisepticum. Duration of immunity has not been established for this product. For more information regarding efficacy and safety data, see productdata.aphis.usda.gov.

Administer in the drinking water. Vaccinate no later than 4 weeks prior to the onset of egg production.

The need for revaccination has not been established for this product; consultation with a veterinarian is recommended.

Drinking water administration:

Do not mix the vaccine until ready for use. Remove disinfectants, sanitizers and antimicrobials from the drinking water 24 hours before and after vaccination. Rinse all waterers with clean water. Mix vaccine in clean water which contains no disinfectants, sanitizers or antimicrobials. Add dry, fat free, powdered milk to the drinking water at the rate of 1/2 ounce per gallon or 2 grams per liter. Provide ample space for all birds to drink easily. Water containing vaccine should be consumed in 2 hours or less. To assure all birds drink, withhold water for 1 hour prior to vaccination. Administration through the water lines with a proportioner or medication tank is not recommended.

Storage temperature: Store at 2° to 8°C (35° to 46°F).

Warnings

Vaccinate only healthy birds.

Use entire contents when a vial is first opened.

Inactivate unused contents before disposal.

Do not mix with other products, except as specified on the labeling.

Keep permanent vaccination records, including vaccine serial number.

Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter.

Do not vaccinate turkeys.

Do not use antibiotics within 3 days before or after vaccination with this product.

Do not use Newcastle disease or infectious bronchitis vaccines within 7 days before or after vaccination with this product.

Avoid contact with vaccinated chickens.

Contains penicillin as a preservative.

In case of human exposure, contact a physician.

Distribution in each State shall be limited to authorized recipients designated by proper State officials--under such additional conditions as these authorities may require.
