Salmonella Enteritidis Bacterin

VETERINARY USE ONLY

Recommended for the vaccination of chickens as an aid in the prevention of Newcastle disease and infectious bronchitis (Mass. and Ark. Types) and as an aid to reduce the colonization of the internal organs, including the reproductive tract, by Salmonella enteritidis. Use entire contents of bottle when first opened.

Directions For Use

Vaccine should be warmed to room temperature before use. Shake well before using. Inject subcutaneously or intramuscularly using aseptic technique.

Dose

1/4 ml (0.25 ml) per bird. Inject all birds in flock.

Vaccine (prime) with live virus vaccines for Newcastle disease and bronchitis at least 4 weeks prior to the use of this vaccine. Vaccinate subcutaneously at 12 and 16 weeks of age or intramuscularly at 13 and 17 weeks of age. Revaccinate with monovalent Salmonella Enteritidis Bacterin 4 weeks later. Revaccinate during molt.

Store below 7°C (45°F). Do not freeze.

Vaccination may interfere with pullorum-typhoid testing.

Warning

In case of accidental human injection, seek immediate medical attention. Do not vaccinate within 42 days before slaughter.
