Avipro 104 Mg BacterinThis treatment applies to the following species:

Active Ingredient(s)This product is a formalin inactivated oil base suspension of highly immunogenic strains of Mycoplasma gallisepticum. The bacterin is used for the prevention of clinical signs associated with Mycoplasma gallisepticum infection in chickens.
The bacterin is manufactured in accordance with a detailed production outline which has been filed with the Veterinary Services of the USDA. The production seeds are derived from a master seed culture which have been fully tested for purity, safety and immunogenicity. The organisms are grown under special growth conditions. After the organisms are inactivated by formalin, their concentration is adjusted and oil adjuvant with emulsifiers is mycoplasma added to the suspensions. After homogenization, 600 mL plastic bottles are filled with 500 mL of the emulsion and stoppers and aluminum overseals are applied.
Quality Control: The cultures used to manufacture this product have been tested for purity and serological type. The product is fully tested for purity and safety according to the standard requirements for inactivated bacterial products published as part 113, in particular, 113.85 of title 9 of the federal regulations by the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service of the USDA.
Each serial is tested for: Live bacteria and fungi; safety tests. Efficacy is demonstrated by a challenge protection test.
Samples and complete test reports on each serial are submitted to the Veterinary Services Laboratory of the USDA and no vaccine is released for sale or shipment until this governmental agency has provided its authorization to release.
AviPro 104 MG Bacterin IndicationsThe product is used for vaccination of chickens at one to ten weeks of age or older for the prevention of clinical signs associated with Mycoplasma gallisepticum infection.
AviPro 104 MG Bacterin Dosage And AdministrationThe vaccine should be administered subcutaneously in the mid-portion of the neck. Chickens should be vaccinated with a 0.5 mL dose.
Birds should be vaccinated twice allowing at least four (4) weeks between vaccinations. If birds are to be kept for a second year of production, they should be revaccinated during molt.
Precaution(s)The bacterin should be stored in the dark, at a temperature between 35 to 45°F (2 to 7°C). The product must not be frozen.
Expiration date: 24 months.
