ATROBAC® 3 consists of killed, standardized cultures of B. bronchiseptica, Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, and toxigenic P. multocida, with adjuvants added.

Atrobac 3 Indications

For use in healthy swine as an aid in the prevention and control of erysipelas, and atrophic rhinitis due to Bordetella bronchiseptica and toxigenic Pasteurella multocida (type A or D).

Directions

For protection against atrophic rhinitis it is advisable to vaccinate sows and gilts and their litters. Shake well.

Sows and Gilts: Aseptically administer a single 5-mL dose subcutaneously to healthy sows and gilts 7 weeks before farrowing, followed by a second dose 4 weeks later. Revaccination with a single dose 3 weeks before subsequent farrowings is recommended.

Pigs: Aseptically administer a single 2-mL dose subcutaneously to healthy pigs 1 week of age, followed by a second dose 3 weeks later.

Precaution(s)

Store at 2°-7°C. Do not freeze. Use entire contents when first opened.

Atrobac 3 Caution(s)

As with many vaccines, anaphylaxis may occur after use. Initial antidote of epinephrine is recommended and should be followed with appropriate supportive therapy.

Warning(s)

Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter.
